Welcome new cosplayer! I am glad you have decided to join this amazing hobby. I have created this cosplay for beginners guide to help you in your new adventure. This posts pretends to be a list of basic knowledge and ideas you may find useful in your adventures. But first of all, do you know what cosplay is? To sum up cosplay consists on dressing up like your favourite character and pretend to act like them.It is so much fun!

gathering your stuff
As a rule, we can say that everything works for cosplay. From old t-shirts and cardboard to sophisticated thermoplastics and resins. It will all depend on your expertise and budget! A sewing machine, some pieces of foam and a pair of scissors will usually be enough for a good start. Don’t forget to get as many photos of your character as you can to make sure you get everything right!

If you want to be a really good cosplayer you will need to master a great number of skills. The most used skills are sewing and crafting, but don’t underestimate your make up, wig styling, or modelling poses. It may look like a lot, but you don’t have to be an expert in all of them! Also, it takes some time to get better. But you will eventually get there
cosplay is for everyone
I would love to tell you that all in the world of cosplay is wonderful, unfortunately there is a small percentage of people who still won’t understand it. Ignore them. Cosplay is for fun, anyone can cosplay no matter size, colour or religion. It doesn’t matter how good or amateur your cosplay is as long as you enjoyed making it and wearing it. Don’t let anybody put you down and have fun!
