Downloads

How can I download my pattern files?

Once you have purchased your files through Etsy, wait a few seconds for the link to appear automatically or check your email where you will find a download link. You can also access your files if you log in through your Etsy account and go to You > Purchases and reviews > Download Files.

Printing

How do I print my patterns?

Download your pattern to your computer. I recommend you to use the free program Adobe Acrobat Reader to open your files. If you don’t have it installed in your computer you can find it here. When your file is open click on Print and make sure your settings are set to Actuall size/100% scale.

There is a white blank space around my pattern. Is this normal?

Yes, it is. This is because many printers have a limited printing area. The blank area will ensure your files are printed correctly and you won’t miss any important details from your patterns.

My test square is bigger/smaller than what it is supposed to

There is probably a printing error. Make sure your printer is set to Actual Size/100% scale

How do I assemble my tiled pattern?

Cut the right side and bottom border of your sheets. The tiles are organised in rows with numbers and columns with letters. Make sure they are positioned in order. Tape the sheets next to each other and cut your patterns.

The lines of my sheets don’t align

Please make sure you printed the file correctly. Check the test square to see if the measurements are correct. If not, print again making sure your print settings are set to Actual Size/100% scale. If your test square is correct make sure your sheets are aligned correctly. Sometimes, in particular with big patterns, there could be some disalignment with the sheets. A small disalignment is normal and won’t affect your final pattern. If the gaps are bigger than 1 cm / 1/2 an inch try repositioning the sheets.

Sizing

My usual size doesn’t correspond with your measurement table

Shop sizes are different from pattern sizes. Every shop and pattern company have a different table of measurements. Follow the measurement table to figure out your pattern size. If in doubt, choose the bigger size and adjust.

Do you offer your patterns on bigger/smaller sizes?

At the moment I can only offer sizes US4-16. This is because bigger sizes would require a full new pattern and testing and I don’t have the means available at the moment to offer you a quality product.

How can I make my pattern bigger/smaller?

It is possible to cut the patterns in half and add or remove a few centimetres to make them slightly bigger or smaller. I am working on a tutorial. Please make sure to test these patterns before you use them as the results could not be accurate.

I used your pattern but it doesn’t fit me

Most patterns need adjustments so they fit you correctly. If the pattern is too tight try with a bigger size, if it is loose, you can try wearing it inside out and pinching the extra fabric on the sides with pins. You can then sew the excess fabric so it adjusts better to your body. Try making a mock up with cheap fabric first and transfer any modifications to your final garment for a perfect finish.

Patterns

Can you make a custom pattern for my cosplay?

Unfortunately no. At the moment I am only selling patterns from cosplays I have made. Patternmaking is a complex and very time consuming process.

Why don’t you add seam allowances to your patterns?

I find it easier to add seam allowances later to my patterns. This way it is much easier to modify the pattern so it fits your needs. For example, you can tape pieces together to create a new piece or change the position of a panel so it fits your needs without worrying about how much seam allowance to remove in the first place.

Refunds and returns

Can I get a refund for my digital files?

Due to the nature of digital products once the files have been downloaded I can’t process a refund. If you have not yet downloaded the files contact me through Etsy and I will try to help.

Cosplay

Do you sell prints?

At the moment I am not selling prints but keep an eye on my social media as I may offer them sometimes for a limited time or bring some to a convention.

Would you make me a cosplay?

Unfortunately not. I do not accept commissions at the moment.

Will you guest at my local convention?

I would love to! Get in contact with your local convention and ask them to contact me.

I am new at cosplay, can you help me?
