Since I was a child I have always been amazed with people who had light eyes. I never thought it would be possible for me to get that look until I got my first pair of coloured contact lenses. When I saw this pair of grey contacts I decided to make a Sweety Bella Grey Contact lenses review.
In general, I tend to wear very striking circle lenses. I look for bold effects that make you look like an anime character. But recently, I have realised that each character has a different feel to it and my bold lenses won’t always work. That is why this time I chose a pair of lenses which gave a more realistic feel.
As usual, my shop to go was Uniqso , this time I got the opportunity to make a review for you. Thanks to them, I am starting this new review section to help you decide which contacts to choose. This will be my longest review as I want to tell you every single detail about it, if you want to see the actual contact lenses part scroll down to description of the lenses.
Packaging and shipping
I must admit I was very impressed with the delivery times. I usually get my lenses with Economy shipping which takes a couple of weeks. This time I got an upgrade on shipping and my lenses arrived within one week of being processed. As a cosplayer that is something really important to consider as we are always late for a convention.
The order was tracked, and I was very happy to see they had used a degradable bag to send them. Inside came another padded bag. These are more difficult to recycle but I believe my local recycle center offers the possibility to separate the plastic and the paper. Of course, the parcel arrived in a perfect state and so did the contents.
The Sweety lenses come in blisters which are super easy to open so I didn’t have to fight those mini bottles. Inside the parcel I also got a cute contact lens case and information on how to open the blisters if the lens was stuck. And guess what, my lens was indeed stuck to the blister. If this happens don’t worry as it is literally like the brochure said. Put them in warm water for a few minutes, shake them, and they will become loose.
My last remark to make is the safety of the lenses. As you know, it is very important to make sure you are using a safe and certified product. Both the box and the blister came with the appropriate symbols meaning they have been certified in Europe and Korea. The brand Sweety has the KFDA, CE & ISO certifications which means you should be pretty safe. Also, remember to double check the specifications and the expiry date.
Description of the lenses
This was not the first time I bought grey contact lenses. I had worn Barbie Bubble Grey lenses before but wasn’t so impressed with the look, so it was about time to give another chance to the greys. And they didn’t disappoint.
My first impression of the lenses was that they looked tiny. After all, I am used to wear lenses that enlargen your eyes. The Sweety Bella Grey give a natural eye vibe. They feature a subtle starburst effect. I like how the outer rim fades and makes the eye look very realistic. They are very pigmented and cover my dark eyes perfectly well. I would say they have a blue hue to them, which doesn’t make them any less impressive. The inner colour is a very light grey and the outer one gets darker withouth getting to black. Also, the inner rim fades to transparent blending with my eyes and helping with the illusion of real grey eyes.
I was concerned with the tiny little mesh texture of the contact lens but it is almost impossible to notice it when you wear them unless you take a very, very close picture of the contact lenses. They are astonishingly realistic.

Wearing Sweety Bella Grey for Cosplay
I have chosen these contacts to wear them with my Rwby Rose cosplay which is in my long term cosplay plans. Also, I made a very quick test with the wig but as it is just a cheap wig from eBay I am going to need to style it a lot. I have many other characters in mind for these lenses, like Claire or any of the girls from Claymore or the YohRa from NieR: Automata. However, I am cosidering trying the Sweety Bella Blue Grey for those.
In my opinion, these contact lenses will work better for videogame or more realistic looking characters as they look very natural and don’t enlarge your eyes. If you are looking for a more cartoony look, check my Sweety Crazy Lens Mirror review. These lenses are also grey but look so different! As always, it all depends on your character.
Final rating
These lenses are amazing. They are comfortable, look natural and cover my dark eyes perfectly well. However, I gave them a final score of 4 (and a half) out of 5. The reason is I would have liked them to be slightly bigger, which is totally a personal preference. Also, they have a blue tint to them when you wear them. They look great and I wouldn’t change them, but I was expecting a true neutral grey in order to be 100% accurate with my cosplays. After all, they also have a blue version. I will still wear them for my next projects as they do look good and I do recommend them especially if you have dark eyes.
