Misa Amane Cosplay

I have been very busy with new projects and I kind of forgot some of the old ones. I will try to catch up with them and today I bring you an oldie. Amane Misa was one of the first cosplays I attempted. I think that year many people had the same idea. It was my first Manga convention and I had no idea of how to sew. Therefore, I got most of my cosplay from my wardrobe.

How I made Misa Amane Cosplay

I had the figure of Misa in a pink skirt and I realised I had just the perfect clothes. For a quick cosplay I was very happy of the results. At the time I didn’t know anything about wigs and it would still be a time till I got to wear my first contact lenses. The point is, I was happy being one of my favourite characters.

I already owned a pink skirt and I wasn’t good at sewing yet. I do know now how to make a pleated skirt and I am sure it would have looked more accurate if I had sewn it myself.

Also, I wore a black corset t-shirt and my arm warmers from my goth times. I finished the look with the spiked belt and the characteristic Misa ponytails.

I happened to own a Death Note as well. You can make one just printing the black cover of her Death Note and glueing it to a regular Notebook. Misa’s Death Notes comes without the rules so it should be easy to make.

Unfortunately I never took many pictures of this cosplay, but maybe one day I’ll decide to remake it from scratch.
