Black Canary and Green Arrow was one of the first comics I ever read. Although there are many versions of this character I decided to go for the classic look. For this I made her iconic blue jacket as found in the animated series. As a kid I used to watch Batman and the Justice League and I wanted to make homage to those looks. In particular I like the strength of this character. She can get away from any situation even without her supersonic scream thanks to her martial arts training. I am a martial artist too!

This character was rather quick to make.I built this cosplay mainly with materials from my stash. I made the bodysuit in velvet. The jacket is made with blue cotton and lined with black fabric. I made it only waist length and I shortened the sleeves as well. I self drafted both pieces. For this version I chose to wear simple fishnets that create a dark effect. For my Black Canary cosplay I used a lace front Blonde Bombshell Wig from Uniqso. It makes the hair quite realistic. I also used Sweety Cyan Mesh circle lenses by Uniqso to achieve the old cartoon flat eye effect.
I haven’t worn this cosplay to a convention and it was more a quick project. This was a project I had wanted to make her quite a while. I may not wear this particular cosplay to an event, but I may take some more pictures at a later date . However, I will surely make other versions of my beloved Black Canary.
