Yoruichi was a great surprise in the series Bleach. I absolutely loved her character and I had to give it a go when I saw the version against Soi Fong.
Actually, this was a very easy cosplay to do, the only difficulty was to paint the butterfly but it was very easy.
Yoruichi fué una gran sorpresa en la serie Bleach. Me encantó su personaje y decidí hacerme el traje en la versión en la que se enfrenta a Soi Fong.
En realidad, este fue un cosplay muy sencillo de hacer, la única dificultad fue pintar la mariposa pero fue muy fácil.
How I made my Yoruichi Shihouin Cosplay
First, I got a black top and cut the back straps so I could tie them to my neck. Later, I made sure the back was low (you can always cut it) and under the black top I was wearing a strapless tube top on white.
You can easily make the rest of the cosplay with leggings, legwarmers and a couple of scarves. Don’t forget the purple ribbon for your arms and the red cord in your ponytail.
Primero, conseguí un top negro y le corte los tirantes de atrás de manera que me lo pudiera atar al cuello. Luego, me aseguré de que la parte de atrás quedara baja (siempre puedes cortarla) y debajo de la camiseta llevaba otra sin tirantes de color blanco.
Puedes hacer el resto del cosplay fácilmente con leggings, calentadores y un par de bufandas. Que no se te olvide el lazo lila de los brazos y el cordón rojo de la coleta.
Basically, the best way to get it perfect is to do an stencil. This is made using the negative of your image and painting over it. I drew the butterfly in sticky paper and put it over the t-shirt. Then I just painted over it and removed the sticky paper when the paint dried. I did use fabric paint.
Basicamente, la mejor manera de que quede perfecto es hacer un stencil. Esto se hace al poner tu imagen en negativo y pintar sobre ella. Dibujé la mariposa sobre papel que se pega y lo puse sobre la camiseta. Luego solo pinte sobre el y le quite el papel cuando la pintura se seco. Usé pintura para tela.
Finally, when you use white paint over a dark colour remember that you may need at least two layers. You can read some extra tips on my post on how to paint fabric.
Finalmente, cuando utilices blanco sobre un color oscuro recierda qie necesitarás al menos dos capas. Tenéis algunos consejos más en mi post sobre como pintar sobre tela.
Wearing my Yoruichi Shihouin Cosplay
I wore this cosplay twice, the first time was at Murcia se Remanga. Later, I wore it at a cosplay party organised by our local comic shop 7heroes. We had lots of fun.
Llevé este cosplay dos veces, la primera vez en el Murcia se Remanga. Más adelante, llevé el cosplay a una fiesta organizada por nuestra tienda de comics 7 heroes. Nos lo pasamos genial.
