Cinder Fall Cosplay

I love bad girls and Cinder is a really bad one. Although she has changed her hairstyle and clothing in the last seasons I still preferred the old style. I do not discard making the new one tho.

I think RWBY is one of the best webseries out there at the moment. And it is out for free! If you haven’t seen it yet I strongly recommend it to you, just search in YouTube.

How I made Cinder Fall Cosplay

The difficulty of Cinder was her dress. I used elastic velvet as I thought it would look nicer and I was right. Also, in order to get it completely fitted to my body the elastic material was the best solution. First, I modified a dress pattern without darts and roughly got these parts.

Later, I hand painted the pattern on the dress using acrylic paint in different tones of yellows and orange. I wrote a full tutorial on how to paint velvet with acrylic paint.

Finally, other details included feathers and beads. I also modified some shorts to make the pants she is wearing under her dress.

Wearing Cinder Fall

I wore this cosplay at Liverpool Comic Con. I was very happy to meet lots of other cosplayers cosplaying RWBY characters. It is always nice to find other people who share your likes. It is one of my comfiest builds and I am looking forward to wear it again.
