By now I am getting addicted to coloured contact lenses. This time I decided to go for a demonic look. That is why I chose to make a Sweety Pro Black Contact Lenses Review. The goth in me couldn’t resist a bit of black. It just matches with everything.
I still have a lot of cosplay projects half way through, but it is inevitable to divert sometimes and put a little project in-between just for fun. And if it involves black and demons it is totally my thing.
Packaging and shipping
Every time I order lenses from Uniqso I get surprised on how quickly they actually arrive. I just got my shipping confirmation on Monday and they were home by Saturday! As usual they arrived with express shipping, a knock on my door and in a padded envelope inside a biodegradable one. I like the new Sweety boxes as now you can see what’s inside and I am sure it will be useful when you get more than one pair of lenses. However, I think they need to adjust the size of the box as it seems they are slightly too small for the blisters.
I have been reviewing Uniqso contact lenses for a few months now and I was very happy to find some extra freebies on my order this time. Everybody loves a good surprise. The best part is that the actual items I got are super useful! And related to the rest of my order.
Appart from a sample with single lens that makes a great opportunity to try something different, I got a travelling kit for contact lenses, which is totally going to my Cosplay First Aid Kit and a manual contact lens cleaner. Such a great idea. After all, it is contact lens safety awareness month in Uniqso.
Description of the lenses
When I opened the Sweety Pro Black for the first time I felt relieved when I saw they featured a very fine mesh on the black ring. I had been wearing my Sweety Crazy Lens Mirror for a full day which look incredible but uncomfortable to wear for long as they are rather opaque and make me see blurry.
The Pro Black lenses also feature a star like effect on the inner ring. Which blends very well with your eye and looks really nice. My eyes are very dark so the effect was rather subtle but I’m sure they will look very different on lighter eyes.
These lenses are very comfortable and they have a subtle enlargement effect. I can totally tell the difference from wearing no contacts when I wear them. They make your eye stand out more, but they do show quite a bit of iris when you are on a dark place so they may suit or not your necessities.

Wearing Sweety Pro Black for cosplay
There are so many characters that could use these lenses that I don’t know where to start. The classical cartoons appear often as having black eyes and there are many to choose from. In anime you have characters like Kirito from Sword Art Online or L from Death Note. Fairy Tail seems to have a few options too. Lydia from the Beetlejuice cartoon would be another amazin idea.
My choice this time is for Raven as drawn by Picolo in his unique style. I think the black eyes are a very demonic feature which will go well for goth characters and dark make up in general. Here I am wearing my Sweety Pro Black contact lenses with a black parted premium wig also from Uniqso which I have also reviewed.
Final rating
Although the effect wasn’t very striking I was really happy with these lenses. My eyes are very dark so I knew the change wouldn’t be so noticeable in my eyes. However, I am surprised with how comfortable they are to wear and they do give the eye some extra definition that works perfectly well on a photoshoot.
